I’m facing a brain block recently. I dont seem to know what to blog about. I dont like to force things out but I thought I’d better get this issue of my chest.

SOME KIDS REALLY KNOW HOW TO MAKE MY BLOOD BOIL!!!

I started work on monday.

My job : Deal with kids who have slight difficulty learning.
My goal : To help these kids become the best amongest their peers.

Ok. I know I sound too optimistic even for a person who indulges in ‘How to make things work’ books. But I must say that these kids have improved since day 1. (then again it might be too soon to tell)

But one dude crossed the line today.

He spit in my face, punched me in the face and asked me to go and die!!!

I had to stop myself a couple of times from picking him up and tossing him out of the window! I was that furious! But I didn’t. Actually it was more a case of I couldn’t. I attempted to explain to him, reason with him and even tell him about ‘con-she-quen-ches’ (yes, he speaks a lil funny) but he still asked to me go and die! My goodness, and after all that, he ‘punished’ me by asking me to write ‘I must not bully’ 100 times!

Can you imagine what I was going through?

I still havent thought of a way to deal with him yet. I’m sure I’ll think of something before I finally snap. (I hope I do)

I feel like I’ve been on my arse bumming for way too long! So I decided to volunteer my services at a family services centre!

Haha.

Let’s see how it goes after tomorrow! Hopefully I get great photos of the kids and all too eh?

Here’s an interesting question. “Do you believe that you’ll be someone great one day?”

Yes, I’m serious. Ask yourself these questions.

Do you believe that you will ever be successful?
Have you ever seen yourself successful?
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to be immensely successful?

If you have, great! If not, its still not too late to start! Start? Start what?

Start imagining yourself as a successful person!

I’m sure you’ve heard about the power of our minds, how you’ve seen on t.v the ‘inhuman’ strength we possess when faced with disasters etc. Can you imagine the amount of success waiting for you if you only imagined?!

Just before you think I’m nuts, give me a chance to explain. I’m not asking you to day-dream and start building sandcastles in the air! All I’m asking you to do is take that desire of yours, whether is it to be rich, successful, powerful, etc, and transform it into an image. Then burn this image in your memory so that you start living and acting as if you were already successful!

Still confused? Here’s an example to show you what I’m saying.

Thomas Edison. We’ve all heard about him and his invention of the light bulb. His success was not easy. He had to keep on testing wire after wire, material after material until he finally managed to get it to work! However, what he possessed was this.

He had the desire to create something extraordinary, he had the image of it working and he kept on working at it until he finally succeeded!

When you break it down, it becomes pretty simple. For success, you need

1) A strong desire
2) Visualising and believing in it
3) Faith

In sum, if you want to achieve success, I need you to carry out the following steps now.
1) Write down your desires - be very specific, set time and quantity goals.
2) Imagine yourself in possession of it - how would you feel if you had what you desired? Powerful? Famous? Unstoppable?
3) Write this down on a piece of paper and make sure you read it to yourself every night!

If you’re beginning to doubt this, stop. Give it a shot, test it out for a month and see if it really works!

It’s been working for me, I know it’ll work for you too!

thought i’d share a story with you just b4 I start my day… hope this story will get you off your feet and keep you chasing your dreams!

“A bra company wanted to expand its current business. They considered going into africa because of its obvious lack of bra companies! So, they sent one of their business representatives there to study the market.

After a month, this guy called back and said ‘Boss!! If we come here to do business, sure die!’ The boss was so curious he asked ‘WHY?’

So this representative said ‘Boss!! The people in Africa dont wear bras!! So theres NO MARKET here!!’

Unconvinced, this boss sent another representative there. Want to make a guess what this representative said? Do you think he also told the boss about the lack of oppotunity?

NO!

This is what he said ‘Boss!! If we expand and do our business here, sure get rich!’ At this time, the boss was slightly confused. How can 2 people go to the same plc but return with different results? So he asked rep2 the same question. ‘WHY?’

‘Boss!! the people here dont wear bras!! So all we need to do is to come here, teach them how to wear and then dominate the market! P.S. Can I also stay to teach them how to wear the bras? =) ‘

Moral of the story :
If you believe that there is hope, there will be. All you need in life is faith, desire and the will to succeed and you will.

Rep 2 believed that going to do business was possible, he had faith that the market would respond positively and he was willing to stay and teach the masses how to wear the bras!
