A dance like no other
A snippet of Jeremy’s life
This isn’t something I usually post about but I’m going to do it anyway. I think those of you who enjoy reading blogs about the lives of people will enjoy this!
Dinner with you was like a walk down memory lane. As I sat there chewing on my food, it slowly flowed back into my head, like water trickling down a tap. I vaguely remember how it used to be, what to say to make you smile and laugh, all so unconditionally. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a game, there isn’t a trophy.
I enjoyed the dinners I had with you. Yes, dinners. I loved every bite of the slipper spaghetti, the seafood pasta, the assorted sausages, the Mexican beef tortillas and the wonderful Sangria and Pina Colada.
How full we were after all that food. Oh how we were like pigs, you and I, stuffing ourselves silly for fear of no tomorrow. It was silly but I enjoyed it. I think you did too.
Your eyes had that sparkle that I haven’t seen in years and your voice had that warm, soft and rich tone to it.
We did the salsa, both you and I. ‘Counts of 8! Silent on the 4th and the 8th!’ ‘Forwards, backwards, return, backwards, forwards, return.’ ‘Raise my hand on the third and watch me do a spin!’
I’m glad we met. I’m glad we still enjoy the company. I’m glad for you.
