Salt Preparation for O Level Students

Watch This Video Before You Attempt Your Next Salt Preparation Question!

In this video, we take a look at the 3 methods of Salt Preparation:-
1. Ionic precipitation,
2. Titration (acid + alkali) and,
3. Excess method (acid + insoluble excess metal, carbonate or base),
and how they are selected to prepare salts.

In each question, we start off with a flowchart (with knowledge of the solubility table) to select the method of preparation. Next, once the method is selected, all a student needs to do is to reproduce the steps given in the textbook/notes to score Full Marks!

Early sec 4 was scary. I knew if I didn?t get help, I would be in big danger. Luckily for me, a friend recommended Mr Neo as tuition teacher. When I attended the first class with Mr Neo, I knew he was the one. His teaching style is amazing! My favourite part of the less is the lesson itself. It is so engaging, interactive and enjoyable. Every week, I couldn?t wait for the next lesson. I am very grateful for having Mr Neo as my teacher and I have recommended all my friends to him! Mr Neo has the passion and is very skilled in teaching. Thank you Mr Neo!

The Classroom is certainly one of the best tuition I?ve received so far. I love The Classroom. I learnt so much at The Classroom. The Classroom triggered my epic love for Sci (Chemistry). I loathed the subject and was constantly flunking it. After I joined The Classroom, an inspiring teacher with an undying love for teaching who took ?FURTHER CHEMISTRY? provided me with the opportunity to fall in love with it. Learning ain?t difficult, falling in love with it is. Thank you Jeremy <3

When I joined The Classroom for Chemistry tuition 7 months before O Levels, I was either failing chemistry in school with E8s, D7s or scoring near passes. Find The Classroom as a tuition option was entirely by chance, but I?m glad I did because the learning environment was great in our small groups. I found myself actually looking forward to Chemistry tuition after a few sessions despite having an initial hatred for chemistry ever since secondary school started. Though my understanding of Chemistry was very poor in the beginning, Jeremy was patient in teaching me and I eventually got a grasp of things and managed to score an A1 for Chemistry at O levels, surpassing my best subject, Physics. I highly recommend any student to take a chance on the centre, it worked for me and it?s not too late to start, even 7 months before O levels.
