Watch This Video Before You Attempt Your Next Salt Preparation Question!
In this video, we take a look at the 3 methods of Salt Preparation:-
1. Ionic precipitation,
2. Titration (acid + alkali) and,
3. Excess method (acid + insoluble excess metal, carbonate or base),
and how they are selected to prepare salts.
In each question, we start off with a flowchart (with knowledge of the solubility table) to select the method of preparation. Next, once the method is selected, all a student needs to do is to reproduce the steps given in the textbook/notes to score Full Marks!

When I joined The Classroom for Chemistry tuition 7 months before O Levels, I was either failing chemistry in school with E8s, D7s or scoring near passes. Find The Classroom as a tuition option was entirely by chance, but I?m glad I did because the learning environment was great in our small groups. I found myself actually looking forward to Chemistry tuition after a few sessions despite having an initial hatred for chemistry ever since secondary school started.
